Do you provide 'sleep time' for my child?

There is no allocated 'rest time' during preschool however if a child becomes tired they will be given the opportunity to rest in a quiet comfortable place.

Does my child need to be toilet trained?

All children are individuals and this is considered carefully however children attending The Oaks Preschool are encouraged to be toilet trained as facilities and staff do not cater for nappy changing procedures. Please feel free to call us with any questions you may have in regards to toilet training as preschool staff are happy to provide strategies to support toilet training before children begin attending preschool.

Do you have a school readiness program?

School readiness knowledge and skills are developed through an individualised play based program. For example when a children displays concentration and attention span they will be involved in longer group times and more challenging tasks.

Is food provided?

Children bring their own packed lunches to preschool. This includes a healthy morning snack as well as a fruit or vegetable snack for 'crunch and sip' in the afternoon. They are also asked to bring their own drink bottle of water.

Can I claim Child Care Benefit (CCB)?

Preschool families are not elible to claim CCB however we do have subsidy for families who hold a Health Care Card.

How many days can my child attend preschool?

Children can attend a maximum of three days. Days depend on availability.
